Hollis Bros & co formed in 1888 as a Leicester timber firm.in 1901 they opened a timber yard in Citadel street. In 1903 they opened an office in Jameson Chambers, Jameson Street which became their head office, they also acquired? built? a factory [see photo] at the Drypool end of Hedon Road which was sold to McLellan Rawson when Hollis moved to Craven Street [ north end in 1911 ] |
