PAUL HAYWOOD

I was born and lived at 10 Wyke street and lived there until 1968 then moved to Bransholme until 1970 when I got married we now live in Thorngumbald.

I attended Crowle street school from 1955 until 1959 then went to Churchill School, then seniors at Craven Street.

My last year at school was at David Lister the first year it opened.

I am not very good at remembering people but I do recall Albo Sparrer and the Tozers, other people I remeber are Steve Harrison, Graham Willard, Roy Fox.

I remember the shop because they used to make the bags to put our sweets in out of a blue paper.

My Dad bought me a car when I was 13 and it used to be parked on the spare land at top of Alex terrace it
was a green and white small van and we used to practice driving on the spare land.

I remember East and West coast transport yard because I used to clean the lorries for a few pennies each week.

A recent issus of the Hull Daily Mail Flashback had some photos of Crowle Street School and I
was on them they were taken in 1957and 1959 and the teachers were Miss Goode and Mrs Goodrum.

Hope this has been a help.
